About Me

For unexplained reasons, I’ve never given out any personal information about myself on this blog- for the longest time I imagined it being as difficult as a pregnant teenager telling her parents she’s preggers. However, I  have now reached a point where I want you all to know a little more about me, so here we go:

Hi, my name is Abby. I’m currently 16 and attend high school, while attending a technical vocational school for Cosmetology. I started doing my nails about 4 years ago. I paint my nails every weekend, and my friends’ on occasion. I paint the girls’ nails that I babysit, as well :)

In the future I plan on going to college for salon management and hope to own and operate my own nail salon afterwards*. Once I finish college, I would love to visit the wonderful continent of Australia (see my love for it here :) ).

Very few people I actually know know about this little blog of mine. I like it that way- I’d rather keep this  a secret double life that only other polish lovers know about ;) Maybe in the future I’ll tell more people about this blog… “DOUBTING IT!” (that’s something one of my extremely close friends** says all the time. Nope- that friend does not know about this blog. haha!)

Just an FYI: I've officially been on summer vacation for a few days now, which means I hope to be posting on a regular basis, and whatnot :)   <<I mean it this time!!!

Phew! It feels nice, having told you all more personal information about myself!

Thanks for reading guys! I really appreciate it, especially considering this post doesn’t have any nails or pictures :))) That means you care <3

*I would actually much prefer to simply get paid for being Abby, but it doesn’t look like that’s happening…
**I refuse to claim anyone as a best friend ;D

  3. Hi, Abby...nice to meet you! I'm Delphi and I'm (to you) unimaginably old...I'm 51 y.o.! I thought this post of yours was great and I try to never miss an opportunity to tell someone when I admire something about them. Just today I told a woman at Costco I liked the artificial very pretty flower she clipped into her hair. My philosophy is that when someone does something extra (like clip a flower in their hair, or take a big breath and "out" themselves on their blogs), they should know about it when someone else takes notice of their something extra. My reasons for that philosophy are two-fold: if someone is complimented for doing their "something extra," I figure the likelihood of them then going on and doing another "something extra" at some future point increases and this world can use all the "extras" it can get. I also have a strong belief in karma so I think it never hurts for me to keep my own karma as clean as possible by just outright telling someone else they're pretty cool which spreads good feelings. The more good feelings I create, the better my karma. No one can have too clean a karma. :) So...Abby...good for you for doing something you thought was going to be hard. I hope that you didn't find it to be as hard a task as you apparently thought it would be. I also agree with the previous two women who said it's always nice to know more about a blogger. Even though there are hundreds of nail blogs, it's still a relatively small community and it's great to know about as many of us as possible who love nail polish. :) Delphi

    1. I really like your philosophy, Delphi! This was a very meaningful comment that you took the time to write. Because of people like you, I feel very welcomed in this little community of ours :) I, too, believe in karma, and wish you the best with yours! Thanks again <3

P.S. I don't think you're old! I don't like the idea of people judging others based on age- I think it divides us.
