Wet n Wild-Inferno & Kleancolor-Chunky Holo Poppy

I cut my nails Friday due to a bad day and a marker that got in my way. Anyway, I am sporting shorties for now, and am quite content with them. My only problem is they make my fingers look a bit stubby.

I am wearing Wet n Wild’s Inferno topped with Kleancolor’s Chunky Holo Poppy.

Chunk Holo Poppy is a subtle glitter on Inferno. It was actually somewhat difficult to capture the yellow/green side of Chunky Holo Poppy on my nails. Regardless, I think the two look great together. What do you think?

Colorful Daisies Nails

I chose a beautiful day to paint my nails; the sun made everything bright, which made for some great photos! Not to mention, the flowers are all in bloom, so they look great with my nails!
I haven’t painted flowers on my nails for a long time, and Kayla Shevonne is hosting a contest with the theme “April showers bring May flowers,” so this was the perfect opportunity to sport a flower manicure!

If daisies were in bloom, I would have definitely gotten some pictures of them with my nails!

Yes, that was more than the normal dose of pictures, but I couldn’t pick only a few favorites!

For my green base, I used Jesse’s Girl- Midori. I used Rimmel London- French White Nail Tip Liner as the white base for my flowers to make the colors pop. For my orange flowers, I used L.A. Colors- Shock, and for my pink flowers, I used L.A. Colors- Intense Pink. Finally, for the center of my flowers, I used Sally Hansen- Mellow Yellow.

Turquoise and Neon Green Leopard Nails

I actually wore these nails last week, but am just now posting them. I’ve been behind with things lately. I hope you can forgive me- I think you may be able to shortly, because I will reveal what has kept me from a normal posting schedule (okay, I don’t have a posting schedule- I just post when I remember and have free time), which will hopefully make you very happy :)

Leopard print is so simple, yet so very beautiful! I think it is one of the easiest nail art designs, right next to polka dots!102_2557

I used some no name turquoise polish as my base, followed by E.l.f’s Neon Green as the spots, with Wet n Wild’s Black Crème to outline the spots.

This is Ziggy. He hates thunder storms, and hides behind a pull-out trashcan when we have them. You can tell he is pretty frightened because his ears are tucked back :(  The flash is on because it was dark. He’s actually in the corner looking straight ahead at the other side. He is my little fuzzy buddy (he actually isn’t very fuzzy anymore because he just got a haircut) who likes to bite me, but I love him!

So, you may be wondering why I decided to randomly post a picture of him to this blog. Well, I thought he would help make up for my absence. I also want to make my blog more personalized, and let you all get to know me piece by piece.

Finger Paints-Electro-Midnight

This post is simply done with Finger Paints’ Electro-Midnight. It is my first and only magnetic polish (for the moment).

102_2521

I touched my nail with the magnet a few times, and re-did what I wanted, but for some of them, I simply dabbed a bit of polish onto my area that needed fixed, and put the magnet on top of it again.

This polish created a fun effect that looked great for the amount of time it had taken. I can’t really think of any words to describe it. I will try anyway: when turn your nails…. it looks bumpy… No, that’s not it. Let’s just say it looks magical!

The bottle looks very similar to Color Club’s Magnetic Force polish.

Cinco de Mayo nails

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I’m not Mexican, have any Spanish blood, or speak fluent Spanish, but I love other cultures! I speak a tiny bit of Spanish. Check out my uñas (nails)!

102_2547

They turned out a bit sloppy :(

102_2548

The Mexican flag is green, white, and red. The only thing I was missing was the picture in the center, but I wasn’t willing to spend that much time painting it on the majority of my nails! I painted pepper on my ring fingers because people in Mexico enjoy a lot of spicy food.

102_2544

I used Finger Paints – Scenery Greenery, Wet n Wild – French White Crème , and Wet n Wild – Red Red.

Revlon-Costal Surf & NYC-Starry Silver Glitter

I haven’t been at home much, so I haven’t had time to make any nail art on my nails. On the plus side- I’ve been trying out some unused polishes I’ve had for a while

102_2514

Costal Surf from Revlon is a very bright blue. It is very opaque with one or two coats. What I mean by that is that some of my nails looked great with only one coat, while others needed two.

Starry Silver Glitter from New York Color is a very fun glitter with multiple sized glitters that are also multicolored. The two large hexagon glitters are purple and blue. The rest of the glitter looks silver in the bottle, but when it hits the light it is an array of colors.

On a side note- I’m not sure how I feel about these Revlon bottles. I always liked the “old” ones, so it took me a while to get used to these ones. These ones are also a bit smaller than the others. What do you think about them?
