Pre-Spring nails

I went to my drawers that contain all of my nail polish and didn’t know what to wear. I wasn’t feeling dark, and I wanted to wear a polish that I hadn’t worn in a while, so this is the polish I found:

Okay, so I knew what polish to wear, but what should I put on them? I didn’t know, so I just looked at all of my nail accessories and found some small translucent pink hexagons. I applied them as if they were polka dots, and it looked pretty, but I wanted an accent nail. I then found a wheel of pearl flowers and decided to put one blue one on each of my ring fingers. Here is the result:
102_2319 They looked cute yesterday, but today… Not so much. I think the topcoat disagreed with the topcoat used to stick on the hexagons and flower. I guess they still look nice, but I am disappointed they didn’t last very long. I’m assuming I will be taking them off midweek since they are already driving me insane.
Here is the polish and hexagons used (I forgot to add a picture of the flowers):

KleanColor-Chunky Holo Black

I wasn’t feeling very well, so I didn’t put too much effort into my nails for the week. I’m a little ashamed of myself, but they are pretty:

Wouldn’t you agree? They are quite fun, and I received many compliments on them.

I don’t believe it needs any instructions, but just in case – I applied black nail polish for the base and then added two coats of Chunky Holo Black. I suppose you could use the Holo Black on other dark colors too… I will have to test that… someday ….

Here are the products used:

Classy Valentine nails

I broke off the tip of my thumb nail on Friday, so I cut them all down. It’s actually kind of nice; they are more practical now. It is a good thing that it broke on Friday though, considering I only paint my nails once a week (on the weekend), and it would be the last day for that manicure anyway.
This is the final design I created for Valentine’s Day this year:

Flashy, yet classy.

Do they remind anyone else of The Wizard of Oz? Just slightly?

Here is my inspiration:

First I applied a nude color, and then made black curved tips once dried. To add the Valentine’s effect, I added small red hexagon glitters in alignment to the black. To finish I added small red hearts made with red acrylic paint to all of the nails except the ring finger. For the ring finger I made a heart out of the red hexagons.

I used a nude color from L.A. Colors (I don’t know the name), and the black used was “Black Crème” from Wet n Wild.
I am happy that Valentine’s Day is just about over because now I don’t feel obligated to paint hearts every time I paint my nails.

Neon Valentine nails

I have been getting bored with the usual Valentine manicure, so here is a very easy and bright one:

The pink I used looks like orange, but compared to orange, it definitely looks pink.
Just a classic french tip wasn’t enough. I didn’t feel like putting too much effort into it, so I used some water decals:

The name for the polish used is “Neon Pink” from E.l.f.
