I decided to go for a muted look this time.<br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-fAW_r824gZI/VCIGYEEuFWI/AAAAAAAAEEE/q0c0f0RNZjQ/s1600-h/DSCN4415%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4415" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-xFFxcxscdzA/VCIGYh3TXMI/AAAAAAAAEEI/aQWMs0xIHvc/DSCN4415_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="515" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4415" width="451" /></a><br />
I used OPI – So Many Clowns So Little Time for the base of all of my nails. applied one coat of SephoraX – Chaotic to my middle and thumb nails. I then painted a small daisy on my ring fingers. Afterwards, I applied a small triangle rhinestone followed by two rectangular rhinestones to my index fingers. <br />

They look so pretty and sparkly in the sunlight. Unfortunately at the time I took these pictures, the sun was hiding.<br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-_bPMTd5zm1c/VCIDMrCancI/AAAAAAAAEDQ/y6MFRNFJheY/s1600-h/DSCN4408%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4408" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-8CcX4CdSOjg/VCIDNG0EyyI/AAAAAAAAEDU/mAT5OH2d0C4/DSCN4408_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="392" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4408" width="451" /></a><br />
I used Nicole By OPI – Show You Care and then used Maybelline – Purple Icon to create a streak down the center of each nail. After those dried, I applied on swipe of China Glaze – Fairy Dust on top of Purple Icon. I then applied one stud to each nail.<br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Pbf46TFCIxQ/VCIDNuWEZKI/AAAAAAAAEDg/7T9RPSOEnNQ/s1600-h/DSCN4406%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4406" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-gkbm8WY0eDg/VCIDOIfsOvI/AAAAAAAAEDk/2Hoad0fKObQ/DSCN4406_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="372" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4406" width="451" /></a><br />

Like I said, these nails looked gorgeous in the sun, and unfortunately, the sun didn’t show up for this little photo shoot.<br />

Luckily, Born Pretty has sent me these really cool rainbow gear decals that look awesome over white polish. I tried them over black about a week ago and they looked good but not nearly as vibrant as then do on white.<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-AN4K-gBkTyo/VCHr51YxjZI/AAAAAAAAECY/WlfdwnXONy0/s1600-h/DSCN4420%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4420" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-0bY8tpL_Hcg/VCHr6jl5tbI/AAAAAAAAECg/xJEwNTBxsxI/DSCN4420_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="389" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4420" width="451" /></a><br />
Here, I have them over two coats of OPI – Alpine Snow and the remainder of my nails are simple black french tips that are slightly angled and curved. I like that they are bold, yet do not take away from my accent nails. <br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-6V2YTgPVfWI/VCHr7vHK8xI/AAAAAAAAECo/LUNnM-UhCXc/s1600-h/DSCN4421%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4421" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-yxyhE1rIqgc/VCHr8F31DjI/AAAAAAAAECw/27lSDkC2ZRg/DSCN4421_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="368" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4421" width="451" /></a><br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-hsbQAj3vPgs/VCHr86sfrTI/AAAAAAAAEC4/aJ7mxb4tlD8/s1600-h/DSCN4423%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4423" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-6MLIxXuDQ5Y/VCHr9UJ3zBI/AAAAAAAAEDA/eZIjSaP4d54/DSCN4423_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="357" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4423" width="451" /></a><br />
I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them, including a girl I used to go to school with who asked if I actually painted them on. haha.<br />

Is it just a preference in spelling? Does it matter? Is it a country/regional thing? Spellcheck doesn’t seem to care how I spell it.</p> <p>Anyyyyhow, my final review for the day are these really fun matte glitters! I feel like the possibilities with them are endless! I chose to make a theme of doughnut (donut?) sprinkles out of them this time, but I have a few other ideas in mind for the future.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Wn-HUTC5awE/U9v0VvhzxKI/AAAAAAAAEBI/oIuY1YgrUK0/s1600-h/DSCN4383%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4383" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4383" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-ulkiMW1e5ZE/U9v0WaLQpwI/AAAAAAAAEBQ/0b3qF6gVYXg/DSCN4383_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="367"></a></p> <p>For all but my ring fingers, I used a base of OPI – Bubble Bath. My ring fingers have two coats of Nicole by OPI – Be Ama-zing!, with the d-nut (that’s what we’re calling it now until I decide which spelling I prefer) made using Finger Paints – Don’t Make a Scene and China Glaze – Mahogany Magic. The blue icing (or is it frosting?) is made using Love and Beauty – Turquoise and the purple is made using Julie G – Dream in Pretty. I individually placed the “sprinkles” (or is it jimmies? Actually, I do know that I prefer to call them sprinkles, so that is one question answered haha) using a dotting tool and top coat.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-df-OxzJ-490/U9v0XNiY3uI/AAAAAAAAEBY/rjyDNP2eE3g/s1600-h/DSCN4385%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4385" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4385" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-QKpe5aYBHQM/U9v0X5kxSDI/AAAAAAAAEBg/wO2XKYBIIls/DSCN4385_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="456"></a> <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-1BkloRTUViU/U9v0Yg6co2I/AAAAAAAAEBo/3YisI5PG4-U/s1600-h/DSCN4387%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4387" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4387" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-pDYsui8Sl8I/U9v0ZQXUBpI/AAAAAAAAEBs/DenEg_lL7x0/DSCN4387_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="344"></a></p> <p>I am in love with these nails and am totally tempted to buy a phone case with do--- er, uhm, I mean d-nuts on it now. My friend is rubbing off on me an I think I am now addicted to phone cases.</p> <p>If you like these <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/mixed-nail-glitter-decoration-colorful-mini-round-thin-paillette-design-p-15085.html">matte glitters</a>, you can find them at <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a>, along with lots of other <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/nail-c-268.html">nail art supplies</a>. The nails in this post look intricate but are super easy and anyone could do them!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-_q84cdyCC10/U9vtQUPMFUI/AAAAAAAAD_s/pQZKPEkSV7I/s1600-h/DSCN4364%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4364" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4364" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-7iWZPmupTVM/U9vtRMVJWQI/AAAAAAAAD_0/5Abx_3-nzhU/DSCN4364_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="375"></a></p> <p>I the orange I used was Sally Hansen – Sun Kissed, and the white is OPI – Alpine Snow. as for the tiger stripes, I simply cut the ones I wanted and dunked then in water for around ten seconds, slid them off, and applied them to my nails.</p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRxNN2c_l2rQPoc1sSoh1LTUsrcgXhPrpzqx90BkT0bdtYaTOMwUh4SpIe61MmU16QbLhm8elZnN2A1truZE_iuVMk-NuJZW0mQPNrLX8DZXxVlY0ldBO4KQRCGj1MozeUgGb9FKsY1yYm/s1600-h/DSCN4362%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4362" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4362" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/--HwsqmkPsIo/U9vtTFYlAWI/AAAAAAAAEAE/0RvmiM5aX5g/DSCN4362_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="433"></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-asK3Fo9kYCU/U9vtUbTHwFI/AAAAAAAAEAM/rcWBAvgCNrY/s1600-h/DSCN4361%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4361" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4361" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-XNjGE0IGA2M/U9vtVOF9woI/AAAAAAAAEAQ/mtU0PXL0k7Y/DSCN4361_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="373"></a></p> <p>Overall, I thought the decals were a perfect way to add some fun to what would have been a boring manicure! While as a senior, I only had to go to school two days that week, it was enough for me to want to leave and never go back. haha. So much has happened since I last blogged and I’m not even sure where to start because I feel I owe it to you to let you all know what has been happening and what has hindered me from blogging. <br />
However, this post is not about what has happened, it is about my graduation nails that I threw together for my last day as a senior. My school colors were red and grey, so I tried to be a little matchy :)<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-0RslqfvCaJk/U6I3UIQXCbI/AAAAAAAAD_A/ULsB_UXcoM4/s1600-h/DSCN4265%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN4265" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-fhr8TTBepDo/U6I3UrSDEyI/AAAAAAAAD_I/UK6-4Tz98oM/DSCN4265_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="328" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN4265" width="451" /></a><br />
I used Nina Ultra Pro – Black for my index finger. The red is Nicole by OPI – Challenge Red-y, the white is OPI – Alpine Snow, and the silver is by LA Colors.<br />
The <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/170pcs-sweet-ribbon-bowknot-rhinestones-nail-decoration-wbox-p-7296.html" target="_blank">bows </a>were sent for review by Born Pretty Store. I received a lot of compliments on them and the nails altogether. I applied them simply using top coat. They lasted longer than I thought with simply top coat until I was challenged to move some boxes at work and the white bow got knocked off. No worries though; I was changing them the next day anyhow :)<br />

<br />

I wasn’t 100% sure where I was going when I sat down to do my nails, but I knew that whatever I did, they would be fabulous because anything holographic is fabulous ;)<br />

For my non accent nails, I used LA Colors – Sea Siren. I then applied China Glaze – Cosmic Dust to half of my nail. Then, I applied one coat of China Glaze – Fairy Dust on top of Sea Siren. Finally, I drew a line between the two polishes using a black striper. The black I used for my accent nails was Nina Ultra Pro – Black. I applied the holographic studs using top coat.<br />

I recently received some products from <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a> for review, and today I have their <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/nail-decoration-colorful-half-water-drop-acrylic-nail-wbox-p-6344.html">colorful half water drop rhinestones</a>.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-xpp2UKNvz1Y/U1RgL83Iv8I/AAAAAAAAD7o/-07LfoRYx88/s1600-h/DSCN4113%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4113" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4113" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-cxSsAAoLxAI/U1RgMi3iM2I/AAAAAAAAD7s/bhIGvpdZs2E/DSCN4113_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="450"></a></p> <p>I used them in a simple and delicate way this time. I also added some blue micro beads around them to accentuate it. I received a lot of compliments on them throughout the week.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Z6pTJw0xWHY/U1RgNKU8-FI/AAAAAAAAD70/I7LQao9CHfQ/s1600-h/DSCN4112%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4112" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4112" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ygWWjBJ1pHI/U1RgNvkVksI/AAAAAAAAD78/kaGsnZs69rE/DSCN4112_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="397"></a></p> <p>I used a frech base of OPI – So Many Clowns…So Little Time. I then used Rimmel London – French White Tip Nail Tip Liner to create my french tip manicure. For the base of my rhinestones, I used China Glaze – Kinetic Candy, and topped all of my nails off with China Glaze – Fairy Dust. I stuck on the rhinestones and micro beads using an old, slow drying top coat.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-irNlxMpTfgg/U1RgOCNejEI/AAAAAAAAD8I/09OEjx0o5bg/s1600-h/DSCN4114%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4114" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4114" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-gmwvfKd09_E/U1RgOkwSsbI/AAAAAAAAD8Q/QhsIMNnoKwY/DSCN4114_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="444"></a></p> <p>I really like the water drop rhinestones because they aren’t your average round rhinestone. I also like that they’re pastel because I don’t have any pastel rhinestones, either.</p> <p>You can purchase <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/nail-decoration-colorful-half-water-drop-acrylic-nail-wbox-p-6344.html">these rhinestones</a> at <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a>. I’m also really behind on reading blogs as well. </p> <p>Today’s nails were centered around some products I received for review from KKCenterHK (More on that later :) ).</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-HA1St-B7eds/Uz3WRdw1ufI/AAAAAAAAD50/AHLryBKcm5E/s1600-h/DSCN4017%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4017" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4017" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Gz4YJWXxJ9w/Uz3WSLXgYfI/AAAAAAAAD58/RnzVqKQbiQs/DSCN4017_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="465"></a> </p> <p>For the mint green, I used Revlon – Mint, and the pale pink is OPI – I Love Applause. The gold is OPI – Goldeneye. I used gold striping tape on my pinky. The lace pattern on my ring finger was made using a small design brush from KKCenterHK. I took some inspiration from <a href="http://www.fingerpaintedblog.com/2013/05/the-second-one-with-lace-nails.html">these nails by Lexi Martone</a>.The seashell stud is also from KKCenterHK.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-pD6YtVHHa1g/Uz3WS-PGzkI/AAAAAAAAD6E/wmaMyp4MvEU/s1600-h/DSCN4018%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4018" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4018" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-KLcI_0wgXyk/Uz3WTWbI_bI/AAAAAAAAD6M/h5IpTa6wb8I/DSCN4018_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="396"></a> <a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-MaKjeABD8Cs/Uz3WULUyXZI/AAAAAAAAD6U/lM03-bbj4Jc/s1600-h/DSCN4024%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN4024" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN4024" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-3pfrKvAbYY0/Uz3WUhjzgwI/AAAAAAAAD6c/E1DsKxEttpo/DSCN4024_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="407"></a></p> <p>I’ve received a lot of compliments on these nails this week. It has a very fine point to it. Unfortunately, while doing a client’s nails, I went to wipe it clean, and all of the bristles came out completely. Luckily, I added a tiny bit of nail glue to it and stuck it back in. It works just as fine now as it did before. Actually, I think it is more stable now since I know it has such a strong adhesive bond keeping it together.</p> <p>If you’d like to order the <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/Nail-Art-Decorations-Stud/c212_209/p11969/N.NAIL-10-Pcs-Gold-Shell-Stud-4.5mm-Nail-Art-Decorations/product_info.html">studs</a>, <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/Art/Acrylic/Gel-Brushes/c258/p12143/Nail-Art-Design-Pull-Pen-Writing-Brush-S-Size/product_info.html">brush</a>, or any other nail art supplies, use my coupon code (nailtreasures) on KKCenterHK to get 10% off your order!!</p> <p>Thanks for reading!</p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-66114183986709464082014-03-15T19:24:00.001-04:002014-03-15T19:24:56.982-04:00St. Patrick's Jems Nail Art<p>Let me first start off by saying I’m sorry for the lack posts. There are things on my do to list with a lot higher of priority. Hopefully I’ll be able to knock them all off by the end of next month!</p> <p>Today’s nails are those of my client’s. She wanted some fun St. Patrick’s nails and I think I delivered.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-X3K90x_6ouY/UyThPSGkHWI/AAAAAAAAD5I/PoYDpp9baDg/s1600-h/photo%252520%2525285%252529%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="photo (5)" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="photo (5)" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-KRiPHCDcSF8/UyThQM7AUbI/AAAAAAAAD5Q/PEDXE-X5zH8/photo%252520%2525285%252529_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="375"></a> </p> <p>All of the polish used was Shellac gel polish. Unfortunately, I don’t know the names because the polish is my school’s and I forgot to read the names. </p> <p>I used a combination of iridescent green glitter and opaque gold glitter to create a glitter gradient. I placed yellow/orange rhinestones towards the cuticle, and used two coats of gel top coat to secure them. Her ring fingers are simple shamrocks :)</p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaqecI1QEf86XV3XUHKqlIznmruiHb1filYktSQI-flJq-cY5ddHtzIgJBu3wPkHuGoZCg3eGnyfWLsrkjTRQ-DAIXIJ9pA3Fl2gFHU9HR1604G2Zra2Jc_1zJDXLSC_6F1JKzACgvGCwV/s1600-h/photo%252520%2525286%252529%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="photo (6)" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="photo (6)" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-a9qLPsPTny4/UyThR9jZS_I/AAAAAAAAD5g/7B4CFYbHY6M/photo%252520%2525286%252529_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="317"></a></p> <p>She was very pleased with them, therefore I was pleased. Prior to seeing me, she was never into nail art, and now she always has an idea in mind before our appointments! I’ve got to say that it’s pretty cool having converted someone into a nail art fanatic!</p> <p>Enjoy the rest of your weekend! </p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-44391448257988623352014-03-02T19:31:00.001-05:002014-03-02T19:33:54.455-05:00Betty Boop Nail Art + KKCenterHK ReviewThis week’s nail art was inspired by Betty Boop. A week or so ago I was talking to one of my teachers about nail ideas and she mentioned Betty Boop. I decided to attempt the idea.<br />
The pictures in this post are a little on the ugly side. The lighting was terrible when I went to take the photos.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5KxkREYhTbHNupH-9xCWM1yLVQiQF1-ivOmA6tRTCvm6s7wIVv4bqmL_P1kHbGFNfJfJSs6wLsa1-Zr5S5ppq1czhyu91Rof5VgbHYefAiKilgR_kCBscKXCH8Veh6soa-1_lLF-VfUQE/s1600-h/DSCN3934%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3934" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-HyD9UMUHKXA/UxPNUuakBHI/AAAAAAAAD3o/aGEzAYqiiqE/DSCN3934_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="332" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3934" width="451" /></a><br />
For the non accent nails, I used Nicole By OPI – Challenge Red-y with two coats of New York Color – Broadway Burgundy Frost for a bit of red shimmer. I then added square gold studs to all of my non accent nails. My two ring fingers consist of a base of Funky Fingers – Down to Earth topped with Sally Hansen – Set the Stage. I freehanded Betty and Pudgy. To fill the empty space with Pudgy, I added a star gold stud.<br />

I was also sent this <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/Nail-Tools/c48/p11767/Triangle-Shaped-Nail-Art-Decorations-Rhinestone-Placed-Dish/product_info.html">triangle dish</a> by <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/index.html">KKCenterHK</a> for a review. I initially thought I would use it for glitter, but found that it works wonderful for studs that come in little bags. <br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-QdpC6D0SG88/UxPNXzcjuWI/AAAAAAAAD4Q/_kdnuHLO0x8/s1600-h/DSCN3965%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3965" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-9raXZa-3jQk/UxPNYyX8KWI/AAAAAAAAD4Y/C9IX647vdZ4/DSCN3965_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="381" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3965" width="451" /></a><br />
The problem with the studs you buy in bags is that when you shake some out to use, they tend to get everywhere and you have to chase them around! <br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-40dwI5efL5s/UxPNZam-nMI/AAAAAAAAD4g/caPyY0v2oec/s1600-h/DSCN3966%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3966" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-BBGfIrNY_yk/UxPNaPwvtHI/AAAAAAAAD4o/pXiBtv3hmbs/DSCN3966_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="397" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3966" width="451" /></a><br />
To combat that problem, I poured my studs into this triangle dish and was able to easily maintain and use my studs. However, when you pour out the studs, the majority of them like to face down. However, using this dish, I found that once you used all of the face up studs, you could easily pick up the dish and hit it lightly against your table, and more studs turn upwards. Easy as that!<br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-bc3dD58_z9A/UxPNavvWa3I/AAAAAAAAD4w/G97-eNukocQ/s1600-h/DSCN3959%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3959" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ZU7XijGP23U/UxPNbaHP_LI/AAAAAAAAD44/_zIf1Nz6TAY/DSCN3959_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="338" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3959" width="451" /></a><br />
Cleanup is a breeze too! Because of the triangle design, you can easily pour the studs (or whatever else is in the dish) back into it’s packaging! <br />
I don’t normally rave about every new thing I get, but I absolutely LOVE this product! It’s so simple, but incredibly helpful! It’s the simple things in life!<br />

I was sent a <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/Nail-Foil-Transfer/c214/p10878/N.NAIL-Sliver-Little-Bubble-Nail-Foil-Transfer/product_info.html" target="_blank">bubble nail foil</a> for review purposes by <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/index.html" target="_blank">KKCenterHK</a>, and used it in today’s (last week’s) nail art. <br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-fe6d9TMXoFM/UxPDDTVnA1I/AAAAAAAAD2o/302xc0hwHsw/s1600-h/DSCN3926%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3926" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Nd3JFkYoGQc/UxPDEP3JwwI/AAAAAAAAD2s/5rWreREWj1A/DSCN3926_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="389" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3926" width="451" /></a><br />
I used Nina Ultra Pro – Black for the black polish. The white nail polish is OPI – Alpine Snow. I created the holographic polka-hexagons using Sephora by OPI – Beam Me Up Hottie! and for the base of my ring finger and thumb, I used Essie – No Place Like Chrome. I then the bubble foil and foil glue to add on the holographic foil. The bow was made out of clear acrylic and pink glitter.<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-SNgK7iG7PpE/UxPDEm3cevI/AAAAAAAAD24/EAzZ3IfhyCc/s1600-h/DSCN3898%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3898" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-0IyhjDIN-zo/UxPDFLknLBI/AAAAAAAAD3A/oMHB_Fr3VAA/DSCN3898_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="377" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3898" width="451" /></a><br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-mZg_BKv5OeE/UxPDF8zNcdI/AAAAAAAAD3I/YhCwNvxV0U8/s1600-h/DSCN3927%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3927" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-RRvZk61pBBo/UxPDGqw-DdI/AAAAAAAAD3Q/-ttIxYzLxlE/DSCN3927_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="450" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3927" width="451" /></a><br />
As you can see, the top coat completely ruined the holographic goodness of the foil, and crinkled it a lot. I think if you were interested in using it, skip the top coat.<br />

Plus, I was really getting into the pinks and reds. </p> <p>My nails for the week were inspired by <em>Hamlet</em> by William Shakespeare. It was a pretty good book. I mean, it must have been good enough to put on my nails, right?</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-YzqfhmgghXA/UwFj-aquxgI/AAAAAAAAD1g/a0L54pEIoWA/s1600-h/DSCN3776%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3776" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3776" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Tgk3dIsbHOs/UwFj-3nEbsI/AAAAAAAAD1k/LqwGwUbLmjY/DSCN3776_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="431"></a> <a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Zk1XbTMTdHo/UwFj_e_gd-I/AAAAAAAAD1w/lWcrpmw-YvI/s1600-h/DSCN3788%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3788" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3788" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-p-JuTdZOXN0/UwFkAPsUw7I/AAAAAAAAD14/g4slVgFz5iE/DSCN3788_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="404"></a> </p> <p>I wanted a very muted base color, so I used OPI – Glints of Glinda. I used three coats, and it is still sheer enough that you can see my visible nail line, but I've gotten over the compulsive need for opaque polishes. Also, I think it fits these nails very well.</p> <p>I used acrylic paint to add all of the flowers and skull. The skull is obviously Yorick’s, and is a very symbolic piece of the work. The pearl represents the pearl in the wine at the fencing match. The flowers are all of those that Ophelia handed to everyone, and the crown is pretty self explanatory.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-0cpIKbvGad4/UwFkAv2QhiI/AAAAAAAAD18/Zvz9e8JtXw8/s1600-h/DSCN3787%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3787" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3787" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-3yhjRYCxwMM/UwFkBD0f-zI/AAAAAAAAD2I/jD2CotpV1A8/DSCN3787_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="449"></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ItfTqRQwSuY/UwFkByH5vlI/AAAAAAAAD2Q/blimfWd89II/s1600-h/DSCN3883%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3883" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3883" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Rzplkb9fL_c/UwFkCd0wKNI/AAAAAAAAD2U/DdJgnh_m0oU/DSCN3883_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="384"></a></p> <p>Thanks for reading and have a great week!!</p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-24664046220165966212014-02-13T20:26:00.001-05:002014-06-04T17:37:11.523-04:00Love Yourself Nail Art<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ZCjgpOvCyDc/Uv1wrmS6A_I/AAAAAAAADyI/zf07-6GuD1Q/s1600-h/DSCN3765%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3765" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Q9Ck5rbrhL8/Uv1wsqpqEAI/AAAAAAAADyQ/lmFDZVdEFRA/DSCN3765_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="407" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3765" width="451" /></a><br />
Love means something different to everyone. There is no right or wrong. <br />
I believe in truly loving yourself. You are the only person that you have for your entire lifespan. That means you better believe in yourself. Loving ourselves is what gets us through rough times. Valentine’s day is mainly viewed as a two person holiday. There are so many people that become saddened over the holiday because they don’t have a significant other. If we all loved ourselves we wouldn't feel the need for another half. I believe every person should view themselves as a whole and nothing less. <br />
We all go through bad days and just want to dig a hole and lay in it. I know. I do it too. What helps me through it is knowing that I have myself and I believe in myself that I will get through it. A lot of the time I’m sad is because I’m around negative people. Those people do not love themselves enough. I've gone through bullying throughout my years in middle school, which made me want to die. I would come home crying everyday, I didn't care what happened to me. I wanted to be gone. I wished for my bullies to know what they had done to me. I had absolutely no confidence and I felt like I was decaying. It took me years to build my confidence back up and beyond. I did it through loved ones. They loved me and taught me to love myself.<br />
I have a much more positive perspective now. If I have a bad day I snap myself out of it by asking myself, “Are you just being grumpy?” and realize my worries and troubles are nothing.<br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-Px_dPpYq0X0/Uv1wtH1eKxI/AAAAAAAADyY/rx-bBc516DY/s1600-h/DSCN3762_01%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3762_01" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-J3voyPpebq8/Uv1wuF5jcFI/AAAAAAAADyg/FV74uEHApR8/DSCN3762_01_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="384" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3762_01" width="451" /></a><br />
For my nail art, I used e.l.f. – Light Red as my base and then two coats of Morgan Taylor – Rare as Rubies (Rare of Rubies is one of my absolute favorite glitter polishes I own! I feel so good and confident with it on; kind of like when you wear your favorite outfit). I used a white Stripe Rite striper to make a big heart on my ring finger which served as an ‘o.’ I then spelled out ‘love’ by adding a cursive ‘L’ at the top and ‘ve’ at the end.<br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-q1hS2w1QKz4/Uv1wuk4j9MI/AAAAAAAADyo/8y6cnZAtsqY/s1600-h/DSCN3763%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3763" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-dD2Glsg25Ak/Uv1wvcCxUtI/AAAAAAAADys/-cUZ-HmHvDg/DSCN3763_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="394" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3763" width="451" /></a><br />

Very simple, but I still really like them.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-revmuyaw51A/UvgIf_mHjDI/AAAAAAAADxQ/gBP6midWyoY/s1600-h/DSCN3751%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3751" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3751" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-GK-4FL_t2T8/UvgIgi6LaLI/AAAAAAAADxY/YizCrfag4Bw/DSCN3751_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="441"></a></p> <p>For my all of my nails except my ring fingers, I used LA Colors – BCC 575 as my base, the added OPI – Which is Witch?. The base of my accent nail is Sinful Colors – Easy Going. For the lips, I used OPI – Pink-ing of You, and added a bit of shimmer to the corners using Nicole by OPI – Kim-pletely In Love. </p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-g4vyZb8I3GM/UvgIhNDIRuI/AAAAAAAADxg/AhFaBmU3snE/s1600-h/DSCN3756%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3756" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3756" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-rrEIlHWZj2g/UvgIh3NzkoI/AAAAAAAADxo/ozqmUqGAm14/DSCN3756_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="435"></a></p> <p>At first, I wasn’t too fond of my non accent nails (mainly the LA Colors foil polish), but I now realized I really like them! Kind of blingy, but not too much whatsoever :)</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-xB5yCYUmNpg/UvgIjK8e8OI/AAAAAAAADxw/HKzqM0iBeng/s1600-h/DSCN3758%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3758" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3758" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-x1FVzDB4ipE/UvgIjtKMCeI/AAAAAAAADx4/VmfSPtEKT90/DSCN3758_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="414"></a></p> <p>How do you feel about foil polishes?</p> <p>Thanks for reading!!</p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-43068777671640005102014-01-31T20:09:00.001-05:002014-01-31T20:09:03.038-05:00Sherlock Season 3, Ep. 1 Nail Art<p>To show my love for Sherlock, I decided to do my nails for the third season. I had already watched episode one when I did these nails, so I took some inspiration from John’s moustache and Sherlock’s not-so-permanent moustache.</p> <p>I went off of <a href="http://nailjob.tumblr.com/post/73170596080/the-men-of-sherlock-nails-this-is-my-second-time">these nails and post by Nail Job</a>. I don’t wear leopard too much, but I don’t think anyone could ever really tire of it anyway. Long live leopard (and all of the other “fads” I like. A good trend will last forever.)!!!!</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-6_vpYuTk21Y/UuXCVPFkVkI/AAAAAAAADtM/NROzFgK_ByQ/s1600-h/DSCN36623.jpg"><img title="DSCN3662" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3662" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-aidT27_Nsig/UuXCV4WGTVI/AAAAAAAADtQ/GVVue_42NYI/DSCN3662_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="418"></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-a6r4bogvMjw/UuXCWdymvVI/AAAAAAAADtc/N7mOW1DTVMY/s1600-h/DSCN36643.jpg"><img title="DSCN3664" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3664" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-ZQ6Ws7ArZLk/UuXCW_LIrGI/AAAAAAAADtk/yozDsYA2jh4/DSCN3664_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="381"></a></p> <p>I used China Glaze – Kinetic Candy for my base. I then used L'Oreal – Park Ave Luncheon for the tip. To make the spots, I used NYC – Park Ave. ( I just realized that these nails were meant for Park Ave.) </p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-S44olyIHchM/UuXCXb82vaI/AAAAAAAADts/1sM-T9BDc-E/s1600-h/DSCN36653.jpg"><img title="DSCN3665" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3665" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoPXV9TM8j9ssGmSD44jGxUAGDC5xL-lImGDR2v_VdwD_UA7PLaQUd2qqzwr7M2jMlTM9S_ESfPBabvUrKyddlrVHd64w5WIi-Wt30z7dez6kY2B2Chz6K3pE7dwQ5juuFgN3nd-0FkzT9/?imgmax=800" width="451" height="434"></a></p> <p>Thanks for reading! </p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-34948716518894643622014-01-17T18:16:00.001-05:002014-01-17T18:16:21.254-05:00Faint Holographic Galaxy Nails<p>I’m finally able to post up to date nails because these don’t exactly have an expiration date like holiday themed nails. Actually, these were the nails I wore for New Year’s. They were originally inspired by Doctor Who because I was going to add a red bow towards the cuticle (to represent the 11th Doctor), but decided against it. Some other time, my dear. Some other time.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-xiOqbsfTdF0/Utm5tubaIXI/AAAAAAAADsU/1xlXydHBvco/s1600-h/DSCN36543.jpg"><img title="DSCN3654" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3654" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-C4rArQDvtyY/Utm5uTkd-RI/AAAAAAAADsc/oAt7MHLYoQA/DSCN3654_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="360"></a></p> <p>I used China Glaze – When Stars Collide for the base and sponged on China Glaze – Get Outta My Space, Cosmic Dust, Don’t be a Luna-tic, Take a Trek, Funky Fingers – Jester, NYC – White Tip, and Rimmel London – Silver Bullet. I also used KleanColor – Holo Chrome and Savvy – Touch of Glitter to accentuate some areas. I added some holographic star glitters and made some stars using a white striper. I added a coat of China Glaze – Fairy Dust over it all.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ntkgiNEdGgM/Utm5vNmKDEI/AAAAAAAADsk/ufUH2IedoUg/s1600-h/DSCN36557.jpg"><img title="DSCN3655" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3655" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-3DO075izPxo/Utm5vhuSWeI/AAAAAAAADso/voS1Q5AAlZU/DSCN3655_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="385"></a></p> <p>These nails were lots of fun an rather subtle. Next time I’ll use more white so it’s a little more visible. </p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-A9yvy0kkiMQ/Utm5wCCZ2uI/AAAAAAAADs0/r9zS6Dt4zKE/s1600-h/DSCN36567.jpg"><img title="DSCN3656" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3656" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-GtON1OYYH74/Utm5wxkGtzI/AAAAAAAADs8/oy52cvSJTwc/DSCN3656_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="465"></a></p> <p>Thanks for reading! I’ve been sent some more products for review by <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/index.html">KKCenterHK</a>. This time I was sent a metal skull and some silver studs.<br />
I picked up China Glaze – Bump in the Night on clearance last month and knew it would go well with both of the products. I used it on my ring finger, and to contrast it I used Love & Beauty – Lavender on the rest of my nails to contrast the black.<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-HpW78kAoEqg/Usn60_Ad3DI/AAAAAAAADrc/mj7Dh_BmHRw/s1600-h/DSCN3615%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3615" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-u1cs26ihkz4/Usn610M3cUI/AAAAAAAADrk/yiERj4MfLZ0/DSCN3615_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="363" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3615" width="451" /></a><br />
I simply added the studs on with top coat and added a generous amount of top coat around them to secure them in place. For the skull, I used a bead of acrylic because the back is a bit concave<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-qrc3OgK8Gvw/Usn62yxlSGI/AAAAAAAADrs/lwDDp-bFRhU/s1600-h/DSCN3619%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3619" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-JwB9SUC3wp4/Usn632OWfeI/AAAAAAAADr0/NPYPXa_kmaA/DSCN3619_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="364" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3619" width="451" /></a><br />
They all lasted me the day I had them on, but I did take them off before I went to bed, so I don’t know how well they would hold up during slumber :)<br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-l9_NpGqU-0I/Usn64gIqC-I/AAAAAAAADr8/fXGAZaK8H00/s1600-h/DSCN3620%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="DSCN3620" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-tymjio7Ew98/Usn65bip_mI/AAAAAAAADsA/obQkkKUQ0xU/DSCN3620_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="338" style="display: block; float: none; margin: 0px auto;" title="DSCN3620" width="451" /></a><br />
I loved how edgy these nail were, yet there was practically no effort put into them. You can pick up the <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/p11595/N.NAIL-Studs-Silver-Rock-Rivet-3.5mm-Nail-Art-Decorations/product_info.html">studs</a> and <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/p9438/N.NAIL-Skull-Silver-With-Rhinestones-10mmx8mm-Art-Decoration/product_info.html">skull</a> at <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/index.html">KKCenterHK</a> along with many other nail art supplies.<br />
Have a great week everyone!<br />

My dearest apologies. I find myself on a computer a lot less often anymore. I still continue to read blogs, but as I’m sure you’ve all notices, I don’t blog much. Last month was a bit hectic, but I was just lazy this month. Perhaps blogging more will be my New Year’s Resolution… Yeah, we’ll see…</p> <p>Anyhow, all of the nails that I’m managed to photograph are holiday nails, and now that Christmas is over, I would feel silly posting them. The nails I have for you today are the nails I had on for Christmas, but I also think you could easily change the color and wear them for New Year.</p> <p>On a side note, I’ve also changed my nail shape. I’m so used to square nails, but I figured I might change it up (plus, the other day, my thumb nail slightly broke). </p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-8LQ3RFE-mqM/UryLa3L4IiI/AAAAAAAADqk/XL18s3BgMT4/s1600-h/DSCN3605%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3605" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3605" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-CqAems-3puM/UryLbdJKR4I/AAAAAAAADqo/tOMv5T1divQ/DSCN3605_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="444"></a></p> <p>For my non accent nails, I used OPI – Don’t Burst My Bubble, then created a glitter gradient with China Glaze – Electrify. My ring fingers have a base of NYC – Broadway Burgundy Frost with Morgan Taylor – Rare As Rubies on top. I added some pearls and arranged them to make a bow.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-dr3biSidpm4/UryLcIH73QI/AAAAAAAADq0/6WiILoqHvLw/s1600-h/DSCN3610%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3610" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3610" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-AH29xoGw-b8/UryLcveuwfI/AAAAAAAADq8/v1ufRZnSL1s/DSCN3610_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="450"></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-SrE8eoo6XVk/UryLdVyeKmI/AAAAAAAADrE/9F0WNWsi0P8/s1600-h/DSCN3611%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3611" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3611" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-N3OPciBj2iY/UryLdyb9N6I/AAAAAAAADrM/ptEDPxnC1qg/DSCN3611_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="377"></a></p> <p>I hope everyone is having a great holiday season!</p> <p>Thanks for reading!</p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-12494555452677806612013-11-30T17:53:00.001-05:002013-11-30T17:53:44.400-05:00Meta Nail Art and Review<p>Today’s post is a little different from normal, but in a good, unique way. This post is a review of the book <em>Meta</em> by Tom Reynolds. Tom Reynolds is the co-host of <a href="http://tcgte.com/">The Complete Guide To Everything</a> and <a href="http://tcgte.com/">Pop Everything</a>. This is his first novel and I thought some corresponding nail art would make for a creative review.</p> <p>To be honest, I’m not the best at reviewing books because I feel like regardless of how much I try, there will be a spoiler, so really, my suggestion is to just go read the book. However, with the title of this post having the word “review” in it, there is the mandatory obligation to write somewhat of a review.</p> <p>The book centers around 16 year old Connor Connolly who somehow finds a pair of metabands around his wrists. He struggles to keep this a secret from his best friend and older brother who is obsessed with metas. He must figure out how to use and control his powers because it isn’t long before he finds himself an enemy with equivalent power.</p> <p>It didn’t take me long to get into <em>Meta</em> because it actually had a plot unlike the previous book I read which was <em>Karlology</em> by Karl Pilkington (funny, but no storyline). I really enjoyed the story and found it quite entertaining. It kept me wanting to read more and more. It ends with space left for more stories to come. I’m eager to see how Connor’s life plays out in the next novel.</p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ8ZJ9qKexXmMOK60vWiIvpzNvLmPm5jinf7U2Fz44rizSIjPZH37VvK8i0-GnZvod0BG8Qcxst1bOnYa1IZZasGeb7Z4vG6V4GgugZriETTvVbviaOqCYu9AzjStqPbsTLuHLvXwHr1jh/s1600-h/DSCN3589%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3589" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3589" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-sRordErb3V0/UppsZmuHhZI/AAAAAAAADpg/ou4BWIHoQt0/DSCN3589_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="396"></a></p> <p>My nails represent <em>Meta</em> in a simple way. My index finger represents Connor’s suit when he powers on his metabands and becomes Omni. My middle finger is the author’s signature, my ringfinger is a simplified cover of the book, and my pinky and thumb nails represent the silver metabands.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-5Q-Br5Vxat0/Uppsae74daI/AAAAAAAADps/9kMuNp6MMDA/s1600-h/DSCN3571%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3571" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3571" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-SNkUoCdjpMg/UppsazjnlhI/AAAAAAAADpw/NfdZ182uCh0/DSCN3571_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="338"></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-kVEXhCHKOtA/UppsbroQXbI/AAAAAAAADp8/T7l5yLkPhts/s1600-h/DSCN3591%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3591" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3591" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-eLokmXQM-9U/Uppscb1glbI/AAAAAAAADqA/fj_8vozdeng/DSCN3591_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="360"></a></p> <p>Below is a picture of the metabands and signature so you can actually see what I was going for.</p> <p>Speaking of signature, my bookplate was the <a href="http://instagram.com/p/hCkwKcMc59/">poster child</a> of the bookplates, so that’s pretty cool.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-jnQdae47OTE/Uppsc4IROTI/AAAAAAAADqM/KY08e7k9Xc0/s1600-h/DSCN3580%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3580" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3580" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-4WDDiMXbmHk/UppsduLBAjI/AAAAAAAADqQ/uo0JDD60BNY/DSCN3580_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="392" height="525"></a></p> <p>If you’re interested in reading this book for yourself, then head over to <a href="http://tomreynolds.com/">tomreynolds.com</a> for multiple places and ways to buy it.</p> <p>If you have any questions regarding my nails, leave a comment, and I’ll be sure to get back to you!</p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6527185132326786689.post-91646463405405268512013-11-24T12:05:00.001-05:002013-11-24T12:05:41.824-05:00KKCenterHK Alloy Bow Review<p>I’ve finally found some time to finish my review for <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/index.html">KKCenterHK</a>. I was sent this <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/Nail-Art-Decorations-Alloy-Decorations/c212_229/p9435/N.NAIL-Large-Size-Bow-Covered-With-Rhinestones-18mmX15mm-NailArt/product_info.html">big alloy bow</a>, and I will say that it is a lot larger than I expected! Not that that’s a bad thing!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-qBbeXE5odAE/UpIxwJ62wOI/AAAAAAAADoU/NzA6nuZDMxI/s1600-h/DSCN3544%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3544" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3544" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-cuhoNTInOKY/UpIxxpiEhMI/AAAAAAAADoc/YQYfgnsDZhU/DSCN3544_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="418"></a></p> <p>For my ring finger, I have two coats of Orly – Miss Conduct and the rest of my nails are two coats of Nina Ultra Pro – Black.<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-iGc7rbqatSg/UpIxy73SJ0I/AAAAAAAADok/ky5GQNl0Jq4/s1600-h/DSCN3556%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3556" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3556" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-iKMs4nUrdsk/UpIx0UCRxUI/AAAAAAAADos/3lnfNgSGHvc/DSCN3556_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="446"></a></p> <p>I did my nails yesterday and attached the bow on with regular nail glue. It lasted me for a while, but I was also very careful with it. I didn’t do any physical activities with it on, either. I mainly read a book (a book of which was very good and I plan on writing about in a future post :) ). However, just when I was about to go to bed, I washed my hands and as I was drying them, it snapped off. I will admit I didn’t think it would last as long as it did anyhow, but my nail glue was also very gooey, so that could also be a factor.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-ECzIDtFe-oc/UpIx1oiGkFI/AAAAAAAADo0/AzKaSYsMzv0/s1600-h/DSCN3550%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3550" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3550" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-Si8FfRQdoYo/UpIx24O6L7I/AAAAAAAADo4/HSV94KXxbLU/DSCN3550_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="415"></a></p> <p>Today, however, as I write this review, I put the bow back on with a bead of nail acrylic, and it’s staying very well. I feel like it is going to last longer than the glue, but that is to be tested. I am also typing with it on, and I don’t have an issue with it, either.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-02yUZY7-lRg/UpIx3irCH_I/AAAAAAAADpE/OxPKG_3C-GA/s1600-h/DSCN3553%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSCN3553" style="float: none; margin: 0px auto; display: block" alt="DSCN3553" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-yG9DyIzjg_g/UpIx44rgApI/AAAAAAAADpI/iEr8oLy_IRA/DSCN3553_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="451" height="338"></a></p> <p>Overall, I find this bow a really cool nail accessory to have and I think it is going to make a really cool addition to some holiday nail art. It’s not super practical in terms of what activities you can do with it on. I think it’s really definitely worth having, even if it only lasts one day. You can find this item <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/Nail-Art-Decorations-Alloy-Decorations/c212_229/p9435/N.NAIL-Large-Size-Bow-Covered-With-Rhinestones-18mmX15mm-NailArt/product_info.html">here</a> along with other nail art accessories on <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/index.html">KKCenterHK’s website</a>.</p> <p>Thanks for reading!</p> Nail Treasureshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02455006016840111522noreply@blogger.com3
